This is a wonderful reminder to every Christian on the deceitful nature of sin. And that always happens when we want to help God change us.
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3: 12 – 13 (ESV)
I’ve been pondering this great passage from Hebrews recently. Passionate business executives, invested parents, hard core exercise enthusiasts pride themselves on not taking days off. Here, the author of Hebrews is encouraging devoted Christ followers to do something every day, as well: exhort one another.
